It’s hard to communicate sometimes because the same word means different things depending on your point of view, architectural position or description of a network element. It now is becoming even more confusing:
- VoiceXML Media Server
- MRCP Media Server
- Conferencing Media Server
- MRFC/MRCP in IMS/3GPP
- Gateway/Signaling Media Server
- Soft Media Server
- DSP-based Media Server card
Is a gateway a TDM Gateway or a VoiceXML Gateway?
… And the list seems to go on.
