Just a quick update on my post. There’s some great research being done about how to subvert Image Verification techniques such as the one I wrote. I’m sure it’s a matter of time that software will be freely available to spammers to do this using simple OCR and other recognition techniques. There is a good bit of information and projects doing that already.
I tried a random sample from my code on their test site and they couldn’t recognize it. Probably I’m just lucky.
