Software Development is changing

IPSwap is another idea that seems to be starting to make a lot of sense in the global software community. With modular software component frameworks and professional open source (a term coined by Marc Fluery, founder of JBoss), the ability to basically reach into the entire army of world developers to build software makes sense.

While lots of companies are reaching to outsourcing all their development to India, China and other regions — it seems like “swap meet meets software” starts to make more since. There are lots of other people trying to do this — but how about doing this for Voice Applications such as VoiceXML apps? Voice applications can be modular (using a variety of mechanisms such as or in 2.1) and potentially offer a way of buying, trading or selling packaged VUI components.
