I think it's great that developers will have another device that helps them get their app downloaded. It just means more revenue for developers.

Unfortunately the day in history here is probably on par with the day AppleTV was released. The iPad is in a very awkward position being an overpowered e-book reader / iPhone with a larger screen being the only real advantage...Then being an underpowered netbook that can't multi-task. Again only advantage of this device is the touch screen and form factor. Maybe battery life.

So it would mean a lot more to developers (I think) and be a much better day in history if it was the app store being put onto an Apple netbook. Netbook in tablet form. Actually, that would mean bringing the app store to any apple computer. THAT would be much better. Granted most apps wouldn't make sense w/o 3g and/or GPS...But then why on earth sell any iPad w/o those?

It's a really really weird child in the family of Apple devices.
BUT I am happy for another device to put apps on...Appcelerator apps even.

I just think the survey is interesting because I doubt developers will be able to have a lot of success with business apps. No multi-tasking. No Flash.
